There are some cynics who would scoff at the Women’s National Invitation Tournament or dub it the We’re Not Interested Tournament.
Then there is Lakesha Tolliver.
Sure, South Carolina’s fifth-year senior would have preferred to go out with a trip to the NCAA tournament. But after a scary, mysterious medical episode interrupted her final season and threatened to end her career, Tolliver appreciates the opportunity to play at least one more game.
