Does anyone know if Kay Yow still coaches that team??

I know she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, but, didn't know if it was in remission or not.

God Bless that Coach at N.C. State and for all women (for that matter) in the battle against breast cancer.

Coach Yow is still the head coach for that team. If i remember correctly they dedicated the womens basketball arena to her last year.

From what i hear from a former drum major at NCSU she is an amazing person, in person as well.

Women's NIT | Wolfpacks rally knocks out USC

By JAYMES POWELL JR. - The (Raleigh) News & Observer

RALEIGH — Khadijah Whittington did not want to go out like that.
N.C. State’s only senior did not want her college basketball career to end on a bad shooting night, at home, in the Women’s NIT.
So she didn’t let it, and now the Wolfpack move on. N.C. State’s 72-69 victory against South Carolina on Monday night in the tournament’s second round was fueled by emotion and determination — but built upon and foundation of poor play.

“I was thinking ‘I’m not ready to stop. I’m not ready to end my career,’ ” said Whittington, whose team will play Florida on Thursday in Raleigh in the WNIT third-round. “So (in the second half) I just buckled down and played smarter. We played smarter.”
