Is anybody intrested?I think it would be a great idea to have a cook-out. We could do it at somebody's house. Maybe even mine. I like the idea but I don't know who to talk to or how to go about this. If interested Help with suggestions. If I am not going about this the right way someone send me a pm and let me know who to contact. Until then all that are willing to go in let it be known.

if you were to do it....I think it would be best to do it at a state park or something like that.....just my opinion.

...and there's usually campsites and grills on site.

Who needs a house? All you really need is someone with a good sized yard...or find another public area big enough that isn't a state park. I just remember all the signs at State Parks warning about it.

Ok...here it goes!

A neighborhood pool....maybe mine

Everybody BYOB(bring your on booze), bring something you want to throw on the grill (i.e. steak, burgers, brats, etc) for you and yours, and bring something to share( i.e. Tater Salad, deviled Eggs, Brownies, Baked Beans etc)

Simple.....low cost.....alcohol allowed...and maybe I don't have to drive after drinking!

I've got a Jon boat and two canoes. An island in Lake Murray or a sandbar on the Congaree would be great spots. Probably better on the river, DFW patrols the lake religiously and don't have any sense of humor about BWI.

I've got a poonton and a jet ski . sandy Beach is a great place to meet and party.

There is access via land. It is named Bundrick Island officailly. You can drop off supplies and people....you just can't park on the island/pennisula.

http://sciway3.net/outdoors/photos/park-bundrickisland-photo-01.jpeg

Not really an island, this peninsula on Lake Murray has several dirt roads and hiking trails, plus a sandy beach.

Features and facilities
Public restrooms available: No
Hiking trails (http://sciway3.net/outdoors/hb-hiking.html)
Water features: Lake Murray (http://sciway3.net/outdoors/hb-lakes.html)
Swimming Hours Always open
Admission Free
How to get there Because of the lack of parking, Bundrick Island is not accessable by car. You can get there by boat or by bicycle.
Take I-20 to exit #51 and go north on Longs Pond Road 5.5 miles (8.9 km.). (The road changes names twice.) Turn left onto Old Cherokee Road, then turn right onto Brady Porth Road, which leads up to the gate.
OR
Follow US #378 west out of the town of Lexington. Turn right 2.0 miles (3.3 km.) beyond where US #1 and US #378 split and go north on Wise Ferry Road 0.8 miles (1.3 km.). Turn left and follow Old Cherokee Road 2.3 miles (3.7 km.) northwest. Turn right onto Brady Porth Road, which leads up to the gate.

Well for partying....you need to plan ahead and do the D stuff in advance....if not .....go to the deep water....do the D....swim away fast.....

Country Girls can survive..

Or you can do it bear style.....squat in the woods...leaves are available.

Too much D talk...my fantasy of GS82 is fading!!!!

I'm not sure I tried to talk it over with some people private to get this thing going but I can't seem to get any sure help I'm not interested in the lake. I would rather do it at somebody's house out in the yard. That is how we always to our cook-outs.We have always had fun like that. But, I don't know.
