if you are interested in flag football just read the plex was finally starting construction om the facility to host such leagues in chapin. I will be fielding a team for shure. anybody interested in making a cockytalk team to play in these leagues?

the team I have this year will accually need a QB someone who is smart with the ball. we have a guy that has a cannon for an arm and is smart with the ball. and was accually recruited for a short time by charlie strong while he was at SC at DE. bad thing is he will only be able to make everyother game cause he works swing shifts. I'm gonna be at WR and probly play a little corner. I'm 6'3 165lbs and run about a 4.6. we got another kid who may play that is a good playmaker at WR and usually plays saftey. But to be honest our QB is probly better off on the line NOBODY will get past him!!!!! so yes we are in Need of a GOOD QB.

I'm not sure when it starts to be honest. but we will be in the first league the have. it's gonna be at plex in chapin. rode by there yesterday and they are fixing to pour the foundation on the back of the old Iceland skating rink. they said that the facility sould be up and running by november 1st so thats when we plan to play. they have a league and the main facility at the village at sandhill but that is wayyyyy to far for me to drive on thursday. our team will have a few openings don't know how many yet but I'm giving all the players from last year the option to return. it cost $130 for a team and of corse we will divide that up equally among the players. gotta have atleast 11 and as many as 14. we are at 7 right now. we are mainly in need of speedy guys that can play either way. they hold two leagues a casual non competive league and a competive league and I'm gussing they will have a championship at the end of the season. and yes we plan on winning that!!!!!

i mean im not the fastest but my arm can make up for that but i defenaty want to join if my own football dosent get in the way but im a QB and thats my position so... about the competive parts from the people that i have heard of im the most comptive person they have ever met so that wont be a problem.For now count me in but if i have to drop out i will tell you but i dont think it will be problem.

Cool beans. don't know how many poeple know about this starting up so if yall know some people that may want to start a team of their own let them know. would like this thing to really fly we will talk it up some more as the time grows near. it is very organized and it's indoors so you don't have to worry about freezing your nuts off

don't know how many people will return from last years team yet it's looking good so far, me, Adam, Flave, Will,and Bud are locks. there is a guy from Clinton that played with us who can straight up play who will play saftey or corner. I'm sure he will play also. as far as speed goes we are a little small in that catagory. me adam and the guy from clinton are probly the quickest on the team and before you laugh adam has some damn wheels. straight up you would crap ur pants to see big guy pick em up and put em down like he does. everybody so far can catch pretty damn good and is fairly football smart to boot. but if you watch any good flag footall team play speed kills and good corners are a must. with 4eligible recivers you need people can pick off passes and such. If you wanna explore your own team have at it It would be cool to have two newberry based teams. but if that falls short for ya we may have an opening or two. we usually start scrimmaging and getting in shape mid to late september. hand pick a team about two weeks later (ya know to make shure we get people who will play a whole season and not punk out in week two) you should'nt have any trouble beating out a couple of the guys we play with but we gota be fair to everybody ya know

just a quick update, rode by the ballentine facillity tonight and the indoor sports facility is now framed upand the insulation is out there and looks like they will be progressing nicely. can't wait!!!!!
