I had to edit almost every song to make it sound better with the game. I also added a few new songs. You can download the rar here.

http://www.mediafire.com/?jymxoy1epog

You will need a program to unzip it like winrar or 7zip. 7zip can be downloaded here http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

yeah, i had to do the same thing...edited a few to make them louder & a few to make "better" sections play.

overall though, i'm very pleased with the custom sounds on the 360...a little time consuming to set up initially, but VERY MUCH worth it.

adds a ton of realism to the game...

free download for a program called "wavepad" - mp3 editor that comes with a free companion program (burn-something?) that will save your files as .wav and allow you to burn cd's.

Question, are either of those programs free? It's not worth it for me to waste money on something I'm probably never going to use again

EDIT: Nevermind, I found a trial on cnet

Same problem I am having. I don't think it will let you. I think you can only listen to the songs. Guess it's time to waste a blank cd

Crazy_Gamecock
07-16-2008, 01:45 PM
To me, it appears if you use an audio cd or usb flash drive with mp3's that it won't allow you to rip them onto the hard drive. When I called xbox customer support, they told me it was an xbox live issue so I knew the guy was an idiot and I just hung up the phone. I put the mp3's onto a blank disc for home use and I am going to try to rip it this way

Ok, i just loaded up a custom cd with the files on it. So far if you try to use the mp3's straight from a usb flash drive or an mp3 cd it WILL NOT RIP!!!

Using your cd burner program create a cd for the car or home so it converts the files out of mp3 format, then burn the cd and pop it in your 360. It works fine after you do this.

Cockney
07-16-2008, 01:56 PM
Yeah you have to actually burn the cd in order to rip it to the 360

diehardgamecock
07-16-2008, 02:01 PM
you cannot use a jumpdrive to rip the songs. you have to burn them onto a cd and rip them from the main dashboard.

to the poster that asked above:

yes, you have to have each song in a separate playlist. this is not done in-game OR before you burn the disc.

the playlist is set up within the same menu that you rip the disk (somewhere on that "music" blade on the dashboard).

it's pretty self explanatory once you get the cd ripped...good luck.

Cockney

Before I spend the time to make the playlists and set this up, is it worth the time to do so? Does it actually sound authentic or does it come off as cheesy?

i might do some tweaks later but my initial setup is as is, im going to try the game! cocks! surround sound cheer later but im not sure how that will sound. i edited the rooster crow so that it crows 5 times in an 11 second file. at times it seems excessive, but its alright for now.

fg-rooster crow, pat-fight song, 2pt-fight song, td-rooster crow, safety-rooster crow, def 3rd down- cocky 2001, kickoff-short 2001, timeout home-louie louie, to away-usc trumpet cheer, tfl/sack-usc go cocks song, def stop 3rd down-rooster crow, turnover-fight song, defense following kickoff-go cocks song, 3rd down conv-lets go gamecocks cheer, 4th down conv-rooster crow, 1st down conv on 1st or 2nd down-go carolina, opp fg miss-we will rock you, review-band playing respect, start 4th qtr-2001, penalty away-darth cheer

all these were taken from spurred's file. i'm not so sure about playing the short 2001 before every kickoff, but if the other team has the ball to start the 4th quarter you only get about 15 seconds of 2001 to play before it fades out. i'd like to edit in a click clack/short snippet of syvelle's boom song and see how it turns out.

Well, I got all the files and burned them to a disc...attempted to rip them to the Xbox and only about half of my files were successfully ripped. Not sure what happened there, might just be a faulty disc. My computer's cd burner is kind of screwy anyway...but the ones that I did get on there sound good.

I'm having trouble getting the custom sounds to work on my PS3. I'm using Spurred's custom sounds he made. I downloaded his .rar file and extracted the MP3's. I burned the MP3's to a cd then ripped them from my cd onto my PS3. When I go to the custom sounds menu in the game and try to select a song, all of the songs are grayed out and I can choose none. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have some here as well. Mostly just the same that Spur has with some extra editing I have a board there on that page you can post special request too as well.

use that program that i listed above (wavepad, i think it's called) and use the edit mp3 feature to: 1) amplify it to make it a lot louder and 2) cut out the middle section of dead air between the "it's another carolina" and the crowd saying "first down"

How do I get this to work for the 360? I am a little confused.

Spurred
10-20-2009, 07:25 PM
Its a lot more complicated on the 360 than the PS3. I personally have never done it on the 360 but here is a guide I found on another forum.

Creating the Disk:
I use iTunes 8.2 and a CDR-W (In the interest of saving money, I use a CDR-W because I am constantly making modifications to my sounds.)
Steps to making your disk: Make sure you download and install iTunes. It can be downloaded here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download...INS-itunes.com

1.Save your sounds to a folder (Name it and note the location)

2.Open iTunes and add the folder to the Music Library
a.File – Add Folder to Library…
b.Select the folder you created (iTunes will add the stadium sounds within your saved folder to the Music Library.)

3.Create a playlist
a.Select File – New Playlist (Name it)

4.Add your stadium sounds to the playlist. There are several ways to do this:
a.Drag the songs to the playlist by left clicking and dragging
b.Right click the song and select Add to playlist. Your new playlist will show there. Select by left clicking the playlist.

5.Burn your stadium sounds to a disc
a.Select your playlist and verify that all of your stadium sounds are in it.
b.Make sure the playlist is selected
c.Insert your preferred Media (i.e. CDRW) into the CD, DVD drive of the computer.
d.Click Burn Disc in the lower right hand corner of iTunes. (Burn disc will not be displayed unless your playlist is selected and being viewed)
e.Burn settings will be displayed
i.Disc Format – Audio
ii.Use Sound Check selected
iii.Include CD Text selected

6.Select Burn

You are halfway there! Grab your disk and let’s move to your XBOX 360!

This is the most confusing part of adding Stadium Sounds to the game for most people. In order for Stadium Sounds to work properly, each song must be added as its own playlist. This portion of the guide will instruct you on how to add your stadium sounds to the 360 and ultimately to NCAA 10.
A USB keyboard will save you LOTS of time!
Power up your 360 and lets get to work

If your XBOX 360 is like mine, you are at the dashboard.

1.Rip(Copy) your stadium sounds to the XBOX 360
a.Select My XBOX – Play CD (CD will start playing)
b.Make sure all of the desired stadium sounds you wish to copy are selected with check marks (I have never been able to copy mine to the XBOX with their titles. I think it has something to do with the way iTunes burns audio CDs.)
c.Select Rip CD
d.Type desired album name, Artist, and Genre. Select Save Changes. (The stadium sounds will be copied to the 360 hard drive at this point. Depending on the number of stadium sounds copied, this may take a while.

2.Name and Create a playlist for each sound.
a.Press B or escape on your keyboard until you reach the screen that is titled Select Source.
b.Select Hard Drive
c.Select Songs (All of the stadium sounds copied to the hard drive will be displayed.)
d.Select Edit Song Info
e.Song, Artist, and Genre (Save Changes) this names the song.
f.Select Play Song (stadium sound will begin playing)
g.Select Edit or Save Playlist
h.Name the playlist (Give the playlist exact the name of the stadium sound so that you can find it when adding to the game) and select done (Remember earlier I mentioned that each song has to be in its own playlist. In NCAA, the stadium sounds feature only recognizes playlists; one playlist – One stadium sound in that playlist. Simple!
i.Follow these steps for your remaining stadium sounds. Remember: Song info first, play the sound, select Edit or Save Playlist, save the sound to its own playlist, and move on to the next. (30 stadium sounds; 30 playlists)

Time to add your sounds to the Game!

You are at the NCAA menu right?

1.Add your sounds to the game.
a.On the NCAA 10 menu
b.Select MY NCAA 10
c.Select MY CUSTOM STADIUM SOUNDS
d.Select Y to add event (It is pretty straightforward here. Select the team, event, and stadium sound i.e. playlist you wish to hear.)
e.Select Accept Settings
f.Rinse and Repeat

2.Save your profile! (I found out the hard way. Your stadium sounds are tied to it.)

How do I get this to work for the 360? I am a little confused.
you have to burn it to a cd as an audio cd, then once you put it in your 360 there should be an option to rip each individual track to your 360 hard drive. at that point i think you might have to rename the files so you can locate them later on when you assign the sounds to each event

Quick question.

When I burn the disk from iTunes, do I select the preset "Audio CD" as the burn type, or MP3, or Data?

Yeah select the "Audio CD" option. I just followed the directions on page 4 of this thread and they worked perfectly. It makes the game play so much more realistic. Good luck.
