Oh Darn, maybe I was wrong about 107.5

I've give some listens during fall practices and yesterdays controversey and the afternoon shows are pretty good..........Duce is much better than when he started and even very good. Havent listened to the 1st morning show yet as I still kinda like Teddy but I DO wish 107.5 would find a good combination for 9-12 to replace the national broadcast...sure do miss the barnyard.

Overall, I think they have done a great job. I know many people don't like Benji in the AM but I have to say he, like Tommy Moody, are straight shooters. My opinion of Bob Shields has changed since I started listening. After meeting him a few times in the past I always thought he was a pompous ass, but after listening to him a bit he seems like he is an alright guy. I love Duce but sometimes he can don those Garnet glasses (don't tell him I said that!). Mike Morgan is going to be a Carolina icon for years to come.

I also miss the Barnyard!

I listen to Tommy, Benji, and Bob every morning...they are somewhat dry. Tommy seems like a good guy, but sometimes comes across to me as a goody-two-shoes. Also, his trivia questions are ridiculously hard.

However, it is the best thing going in that time slot, so I always listen.

As far as 9-12 goes, nothing beats The Herd, he is great, IMO. Talks about sports, but always puts in perspective, for me at least.

I agree! I am really starting to like 107.5, but they can be a little boring right now. (It is the off season) I know I will get blasted for this, but I miss RT on 93.1.

The thing about the local guys (at least over the summer) is that they really don't have anything to talk about. Today, I listened for a minute and they had everyone calling in with their favorite teams or something? Early in the summer, they spent a week talking about the HS championships being moved to Clemson. I mean its a good topic of discussion, but it seems like thats all that all of the shows talked about for a week.


The best afternoon show that I know of, is John Kincaid and Buck Belue (Buck and Kincaid) on 680 the Fan in ATL. You can pick them up online, they talk a lot of SEC football (with a UGA slant), but they get some good guests and sprinkle some Braves in there. I guess being an NFL, Braves, and USC fan..they hit all of my concerns. Its worth a listen.

For those of you who are Herd listeners, John Kincaid is a guest host quite a bit.

Give the morning guys a chance. Content should pick up considerably once football starts. It is a dry sports season now for everyone including all media .
I know Moody and he is no goody two shoes. But he is a young Tom Price and will be around a long time. Only 2 seasons.. football season and waiting on football season!
