I was just curious to see how everyone feels about our OL this year? i read on the USC sports website that the protection wasnt very good at the last practice. im pretty sure they can get it together by game day but i was just wanting to get some opinions on how everyone thinks we'll end up doing.
also, do you guys think we'll be more of a running or passing offense? or do you think it'll be an equal amount of both?

I think our OL will be improved over last year, with more depth and talent than we've had the past 3 seasons. We'll be more balanced between the run & pass this season than we were last season I believe, and HOPE.

I wouldn't base too much off of last night's practice. As far as the scrimmage, I think it was geared for the younger players. :football:

I really hope they can come together and jell before the 28th. The line is the key to our success this year. Hopefully JK can get in there and lock down the tackle spot and we can get some decent protection for Tommy. We have some experienced depth that has played in tough SEC stadiums, so this may be there year!!!:woo:

I think this will be the best OLINE in the Spurrier era, and I think Beecher will have the best QB season under Spurrier yet. This will be Spurrier's best offense in his Gamecock career, bet on it!

I think we're at good, moving on to very good. We'll have to see, but everything I have read, heard, points to an O-line that can give adequate protection in the SEC.

With the addition of King at tackle and the shear size of the rest of the O-line coupled with four very good running backs, we should be a very good running team at the least. It sounds like our O-line has been holding their own against our D-line, which is a good thing considering we will have one of the strongest D-lines in the SEC.

yeah i would agree that it was more or less geared for the younger players so we can't base too much off of yesterday's practice. looking at the team as a whole, its looking pretty good to me so far. i think we'll be able to tear a few fields up this year. =D

I think we'll be good maybe stronger but hopefully just better in general. Some of these guys have played together for 2 years now so the "gel" should get together quickly.

i EXPECT a better OL bc of 2 reasons: Jarriel King, Hutch Eckerson.
that is all they both have more individual talent than the COMBINED talent of the OL the last 3 seasons, minus Chris White
