I'm not sure if you guys have thought about it yet but we'll in all likelihood be hosting a #1 ranked UGA team in September. And I don't want to even think about Vandy yet because we have NCSU to worry about, but man if you're a Gamecock you need to be at that game. That game by itself if we win will be a game you'll look back on it 10-20 years and say to someone, "I was there the day Georgia fell" regardless of how we finish or start the season.
I hope I can make it to the game. How much would scalping a ticket usually cost?

Maybe a night in jail....I kid. It's tough to say if you find a Gamecock fan that really just wants a USC fan in the seat I'd say face value. A scalper you'll likely pay around $100 or more if we're 2-0 and they're #1. Plus the game is 3:30 on Saturday and a lot of people can make it for that time. Check message boards, friends, and if all else fails get there early and feel out the prices of the tickets.

Thanks I'll be looking around

I am very curious as to what the line is going to be when it comes out the week before. I have a terrible feeling that we are going to get no love and it will be 2-3 TDs.
Do I think we have a chance of winning? Yes. Is it a big chance? No.

Even if they're #1 there is no way the spread will be 2-3 TDs on the road in the SEC, it's just not going to happen. We play UGA too tough every year so I could see 7 points max and if we take care of business in a big way against NCSU and Vandy a really small line. And I think we have a great chance at winning. Our same team beat their team last year and they lost more starters than we did.

Yeah but the media doesn't know or care that we always play them tough. I think itll be around 10.

The line will not even be close to 10 points.

The 2 starters we lost that came up BIG in last year's win in Athens:
Blake Mitchell: 20 of 31 for 174 yds, 0 INT's ---managed the game very well
Cory Boyd: 14 rushes for 76 yds and the only TD of the game
If we can get close to the same production from Beecher, Davis & Co. ---we'll be in a position to win it. Also, Succop's leg gives us a great advantage in close games!
GO COCKS!!

The spread on this game is probably going to be close. If both teams handle their business early on UGA will be ranked #1 and Carolina should be in the top 20.
Some people have this game as the first "showdown" game of the year. I haven't looked at the schedule yet but this will probably be Gameday material.
