Good commercial. It's deep in that it shows the PC user is everybody... not a stereotypical nerd. It's redefining the "cool" that Apple has failed to define in its commercials.

I have a Mac, but I will say this ad owns the Apple ones...Apple wanted so desperately to seem hip, but this ad actually seems authentic and just completely embarasses the pretentious Apple ones.

Newsweek has an article in this weeks' magazine about Vista: it's problems, Apple's resurgence and talks a little about the Seinfeld ads as well as touches on some other issues at a high level. It's pretty short and a quick read and is probably damaging for Microsoft.

They are better then the Seinfeld ones. But overall I could cares less about the Mc vs PC "war". It's freaking computer, not your favorite sports team.

I agree that which computer you use doesn't matter but it would be bad if there wasn't competition and that did happen just recently. There needs to be a solid competitor to Microsoft and now that has happened. That is good. I don't care if I use Apple or Windows, I use both. But I wouldn't want an all Apple world or an all Windows world.

Microsoft's new ad features contrasts a "stereotyped PC user" dressed up like John Hodgman in Apple's Get a Mac ads with a number of people who say, "I'm a PC" apparently to affirm that they run Windows.

However, not even Microsoft itself can wean itself off the Mac, as the metadata discovered by Flickr user LuisDS points out. Microsoft was not only using Macs but also Adobe's software in place of its own Expressions Studio, which the company bills as software that "takes your creative possibilities to a new level."

I've been using Vista since RC0 and have literally never had a single problem with it. It's solid for me. It doesn't crash. It plays my games well. I stream video from it to my PS3 to watch movies. I use it to edit pics and videos. I don't understand what the problem is.
