there are a lot more skill position players available than offensive linemen. for example looking at one year i see over 100 three star and above wr's available, while maybe around the same amount total offensive linemen 3 stars and above. so for 5 positions in any offense you have the same amount of talent available that you do for 2 or 3 in a conventional offense or 4 if you run a spread every play. i read about this a few days ago and it doesnt take but a few years for the attrition to be noticeable.
supposedly the better cpu schools ignore the lower rated offensive linemen and only recruit the higher rated ones, there arent enough to go around so you end up with teams with a bunch of talented skill people, maybe a solid starting o-line, but walk ons backing them up at 40 and 50 ovr across the board.
