What effect, if any, does this unanimous bipartisan report do to her credibility?

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Sarah Palin unlawfully abused her power as governor by trying to have her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper, the chief investigator of an Alaska legislative panel concluded Friday. The politically charged inquiry imperiled her reputation as a reformer on John McCain's Republican ticket.

I believe she has stated that she was unaware that this was an abuse of power at the time it happened. I tend to believe that, because she seems very naive at times. That will help her with her supporters and cause her detractors to disapprove of her even more on the national level.

So...this trooper has already been found guilty of breaking nearly a dozen laws and/or police regulations, including tasing a 10-year old, drinking alcohol in his patrol car, illegal hunting, and threatening to kill the Governor's family members......and is STILL on the job?

Why does this guy still have his job irregardless of who the governor is? Common sense says that whoever let this clown keep his job is the one abusing power.

I like how the report says the Gov. acted within the legal power of her position and recommends no sanctions or actions be taken against the Gov.........but then comes to the conclusion she abused her power? Politics makes for some dumb reports sometimes.

A couple of the Alaska dems involved in this release of these "findings" just prior to the election happen to be involved with the Obama campaign. As for the republicans, remember that Palin was elected by going after some bad ole boys in the Alaska Republican party.

Although she enjoys massive popularity in her state, she has a more than a few enemies as well.

Much ado about nothing. If she wasn't the GOP VP nomination, you wouldn't even have heard about it.

If she were to abuse her power as Governor,is she to be trusted as a V.P?If she isn't smart enough to realize she abused her power is she intelligent enough to be V.P? I don't think this bodes well for her at all.

This report has no affect except for those who don't want to support her in the first place. She had the legal right to fire the guy. There was sufficient documented evidence that he committed firing offenses. Just because someone on the opposite side of the isle wanted to make the case that the firing was done for some personal reason, it doesn't make it illegal.

According to the report it was if nothing else highly unethical.

In her defense I don't think she's smart enough to abuse VP powers as much as Darth Cheney has.

While the man selected to lead the investigation is a democrat. The investigation was approved and put forward by the states republican house.

The vote against Palin was unanimous. Sorry, but this was no partisan witch hunt.
