This thread is for helping us cockytalk users in this dynasty to keep track of when we are available to play and also to inform those interested in our dynasty on our progress.

We have our own blog site, www.formerchampions.blogspot.com (http://www.formerchampions.blogspot.com) that also contains a forum if you are interested in posting there as well as here.

Hopefully this will get us a few followers and help keep this dynasty interesting since our SEC one crapped out because EA's servers failed last weekend.

sorry for being the holdup, hadnt logged into the dynasty in a bit and thought we were still on week 1. bigdubya is logged on but away, i dont know if he'll be back, so a sim looks inevitable.

on another note i feel clueless recruiting with minnesota right now, i guess the last season in the sec dynasty things got a little too easy since i had a top 25 team and now i dont know whether to recruit need or speed. plus all the interested recruits suck.

G_A you should be happy with lesean mccoy. i kind of wanted to get syracuse even though they suck but i hate their jerseys so much that i didnt pick them. the throwback jerseys their current soon to be fired coach had them switch to when he got hired look terrible.

How about no restarting, whoever has Pitt and Washington...it obvious when it says you did, and the second score was still close. I threw 4 picks and had 6 total turnovers vs Maryland, but finished my game.

And for the record, unless your dog hits the router (lol, if anyone remebers the guy that said that), it's pretty hard to 'accidentally' lose connection vs the cpu. So how about we don't cheat.

heisman gives you more of a challenge but the cpu basically cheats by knowing your play calls. all cpu quarterbacks play like all americans and its very hard to get a pass rush which compounds that. they will do some stupid things which you can take advantage of, but the qb's will not miss open receivers and inevitably they will have a play where they break multiple tackles on a play that looks impossible.

but it will actually give you a challenge as opposed to all american.

Yeah, I enjoyed it man. You gave me hell on the first couple of drives and then it just started clicking for me.

I have an idea on how to choose user games for next year. Starting now we can have a 4 round draft where each person gets to pick who they want to play the next year. Or we can just keep letting me schedule whoever is available. Whichever is easier.

drew isnt so tough without florida, jk. riceatusc, chowdig is on autopilot so you can play the game vs the cpu whenever you're ready. youcannevertell has a game vs the cpu too and i think thats it for the week.

i got destroyed by cpu ohio state, gave up a ko return for a td on the opening kickoff. couldnt make a user pick or tackle to save my life and the rest of my defense was even worse. i'll definitely have to be a little bit more prepared next cpu game, there goes my national title hopes.

i dont understand heisman... its like the CPU can do no wrong. i BARELY beat syracuse(sp?) and that was because i got a very un-real interception. my game was just an offensive shootout. because the CPU NEVER EVER gets tackled by the first man... its insane

There is no rule limiting playbooks, if you want to use another one go ahead.

Hell, I'm using Texas Tech's playbook.

I lost Stephen McGee for 11 weeks, basically the whole year. I had to unredshirt Jerrod Johnson. Man he's a beast. He was an 85 ovr true sophomore so i redshirted him. 87 SPD 89 ACC 95 THP 80 THA.

THE BEAST IS UNLEASHED, even if I had to do it sooner than I wanted.

i know, but i usually don't switch playbooks. using a playbook im not used to will force me to try some different things that i otherwise wouldnt have which could end up being a good thing. i shouldnt have used the word worst, but it doesnt contain most of the plays i typically run.

plus i'm not even sure if the playbook will matter once i get my first commit on campus next year, a b+ strength punter. everybody has a cpu game this week.

Whatever you do, don't supersim. I was playing Iowa state, and figured summing the first quarter while I pissed would be ok. I was down 14-3 when I stopped it. I played the last three quarters and ended up shutting them down in the second half, its just hard to get a big offensive play on heisman without any speed.

G_A just whooped me. the pass rush is so pathetic. i played terrible defense but there was two instances where he had literally 10+ seconds to throw the ball. i should have blitzed more, but credit to him for getting the ball to his backs and making plays. he scored on every drive if im not mistaken

i think we should set some things straight here...

first, i think we should set a time when we're going to advance(like, everyday, or every two days etc.)

i think the commish should message us or post here that he has advanced ASAP after he has advanced it.

USCgarcia and my game got simmed without us even knowing until we went to go play it.

I'm trying to fix this so we're all on the same foot here. There were people no longer getting on because they were "out of the loop" even though I said I would be advancing daily once the weeks with everyone having a user game were over.

I took the OD offline and got everyone's players wanting to leave early to stay and got us to week 1 of recruiting. Next year the ground rules will remain the same and everyone will be on the same foot.

Advancing rules from here onward:

During all user game weeks: We will wait until everyone is done, unless someone hasn't been on in over 2 days then the guy that is on will get to play the game vs the CPU

During the CPU weeks: 1 time a day. No reason someone can't get on for 30-45 min. Sometime during a 24 hour span and play their game. I've got full time college a job and a fiancee at home, its doable.

Sorry for the confusion but I thought I had let everyone know towards the beginning you need to be on it every day. Not trying to be an ass I hope yall realize this.
