Dakota Walker Makes All-SoCon 1st Team

Former Gamecock DL Dakota Walker, now playing for Georgia Southern. Walker finished his senior year 4th on the team with 55 total tackles in 11 games, and leading the Southern Conference with 17.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 QB sacks. Walker also had 1 fumble recovery and 3 forced fumbles.

I thought he was really good here...why did he leave again? He got suspended from a bowl and we never heard from him again. He had a big game against Florida in 05 I believe.

Walker and Matt Raysor had their scholarships pulled by Spurrier for....I'm not sure if it's ever really been explained, just not putting in the effort or showing the commitment that Spurrier expected from them.....it's kind of similar to when Spurrier pulled a number of schollys from some players before the '06 season....he just felt they weren't as dedicated as he liked, I guess.....

he felt like he wouldnt get enough PT and transferred on his own...His scholarship was NOT pulled! he did save the game against Wofford 2 years ago for us
