I used to love Keg's Mile High Burger, ham bacon burger so much meat and an onion roll bun. Also Flyng Saucer has really good burgers. Of course Rockaway's Pimento Burger is fantastic as well.

whoppers suck...no hamburger on it...

the whopper is no good. hardees is the worst run fast food chain, but it has the best food and is ahead of the curve when it comes to development.

Wendy's for fast food burgers..can't beat 4 Jr. Bacon cheeseburgers for the price of one of those 1/3 lbs (seriously a third? what a joke).

As for more legit beef, I'll take Five Guys and Arizona Steakhouse (the Zane Grey). Steak 'n Shake is also good.

For you folks in Columbia, Wing Zone has a really good burger. In my area, well sorta my area, Fuddrucker's takes the cake.

Can't be anything other than Hardee's if we are talking about fast food. I hope they bring back their fried chicken because I'd love to have a monster thickburger with some of their fried chicken they used to have. For the price though the double stack from Wendy's is really good.

If you ever are around one try a burger from In & Out.

Fried eggs are good on burgers as well. Now if you just can't make up your mind whether you want a burger or a hot dog try a hamdog. You get burger, dog, bacon, egg and all!

THE BEST burger is at Moe's Crosstown Tavern in Charleston.

The BLT Burger:
1/2 pound pattie cooked to desired temperature
Fried Green Tomato
Huge chunck of whole milk mozzarella cheese
Thick apple smoked bacon
Pesto mayo

It is the heaven on a bun

OMG i LOVE In&Out. when we moved here from California i almost cried when i found out there were none on the east coast. The first thing i said when i got off the plane is where is the nearest in&out.

and BTW GGW, you've got great taste. That's the only thing i get:woo:

Only in California, Nevada, Arizona, and the very bottom corner of Utah. I think Five Guys probably got their idea from In N Out. I usually try to go by In N Out when I'm in Vegas. Never had fries like theirs anywhere else.

In N Out are Five guys are two of my favorite burgers as far as fast food goes. Wendy's is pretty good for a big chain if you go to a good location. The ones around here kind of suck. I think Burger King has the worst burgers in all of fast food.

Five Guys has the best as far as restaurant chains go.

If I am making them myself, then I like a burger with cream of onion soup mixed in...some bread crumbs, chopped onions...then topped off with sauteed onions on the burger. I like onions. Swiss cheese on it with a multigrain bun!

for those in cola...
mack's on laurel street (chili is a MUST!)

They still get my vote too. Just something about their burgers. When I'm not making my own, and when I can actually find a Fuddruckers, I'll take it any day. But, I do love the chili cheeseburger at Rush's too.

Railey's burgers in Bishopville, SC. They are the best burgers in town. I remember when Shealey's was where Palmetto Pig was, they had the best burgers in Columbia. Man I miss that place.

But seriously, if you have not tried a Railey's burger, than you are missing out

A place called "Daddy's Burger Bar" in Dilworth south of Charlotte... Didn't want to go forever but once the GF dragged me, i am a believer.... They have differnet kinds of burgers and all sauces are made in house. Last time i had the "Sam I Am" all the typical fixin's with a fried egg cooked to order and a pesto sauce. Tater Tots that would make you want to slap the school lunch lady.

no no, trust me on this one...it's a burger. there aren't a lot of bread crumbs in it...you won't notice them- it is just to keep the patty together before grilling so it doesn't fall apart. the burger is AMAZING.

no, with the cream of onion soup and the diced onions...it gets pretty sloppy and messy, so you need something like the crumbs to keep it consistent and solid enough to form a patty.

^ that might be the smartest post I've ever seen from you.

Poe's burgers are off the chain.

Other good burgers:

Boursin Burger at Liberty's
mack's on Laurel (mentioned above I think - REALLY cheap too!)
Rockaway's (ask them to add feta for the best burger ever)
Rosewood Dairy Bar/Zesto's
