I think the answer you are looking for is 4 in one game by both Pritchett and Dingle. However, two QBs threw for 5 TDs in a game. Taneyhill did it TWICE and Grantz did it once.

Hold did not start until after the Navy game because Morrison was superstitious. He felt Hold was playing better with all comebacks, but we had not lost. He often said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." He kept many other rituals, etc., the same through the first nine games of the season as well.

That may be true, but it doesn't make sense to me. We had a lot more wrong than a changed play call in the huddle that day. Morrison and his staff were so quirky, I don't doubt it though.
