Urban Meyer denies Notre Dame rumors to paper
Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Saturday, May 16, 2009
As quickly as Steve Spurrier can stoke a rumor, Urban Meyer can squash it.
Spurrier mentioned the rumor of Meyer leaving Florida for Notre Dame on Paul Finebaum’s radio show earlier in the week.

On Friday, Meyer emphatically denied that rumor to the Gainesville Sun Friday.
“I didn’t know what [Spurrier] was getting at,” Meyer said. “Here’s a quote for you - I am not going to Notre Dame. There’s gotta be something else going on in sports. Isn’t there car racing going on?”
Spurrier told the paper that he called Meyer to explain his statement. [URL]http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/stories/2009/05/16/urban_meyer_notre_dame.html (http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/stories/tvag.html)

I don't get this one. Spurrier was asked the question, and he answered it to the best of his knowledge. He added that Meyer was offered the job already and he passed on it....what's the big deal?

Spurrier possesses a subtlety that Kiffen obviously is too stupid to employ.

Kiffin: I just hope they show his wife a lot when UT plays. She has to be the hottest coaches wife ever.
