USC associate AD resigns
Bryan Risner resigned Monday as USC’s associate athletics director for development, according to athletics department spokesman Steve Fink.
Risner was a point man in the department’s fundraising efforts, which included the YES seat-donation plan. He also was heavily involved in the Gamecock Club.
A native of Indiana, Risner came to USC from the University of Louisville, after spending time at Vanderbilt. He joined USC as the director of major gifts in July 2006, then was promoted to the development position last year.
