I am sure we crossed paths. My friend, Rob McMillan lived in the trailer park on the corner of 16th N and Hwy 17. I used to surf some at the Holiday Inn from 1977 - 86. Worked at the Wharf restaurant, a crap hole looking place but with great food and later at the Ships Log in Garden City. Some friends of mine you may know: Tim Skelton, Ray and Robin Lanier, Tim and Elaine Zachary, Chris Hughes, Kelly Richards (Village Surf Shoppe), Eddie Thomas, Dick Thomas, Hugh Sloan. The old part of the school was burned down in my junior year. I still have a charred brick from the front facade. Really great to connect with you. I live just north of Atlanta and miss my hometown. Did you ever eat at Big D's BBQ when it was in Surfside? Also, Mr. Sub, still one of my favorites?

Hey Mickey, I grew up in Beachwood Mobile Home Park right across 17 from the state park. Also, graduated from Socastee in 1979. How about you? Any overlap? I lived there from 69 to 82 when I left home to go to USC. My parents have a house in Surfside.
