    Hi Linda,
Just wanted to let you know... Looks like another moderator moved the thread to the Locker Room after I deleted it, but didn't open it back up for posting. I went through it this mornning and deleted a lot of the posts in there saying it should be moved or it was in the wrong forum etc.... I reopened it so It's now an open thread in the Locker Room Forum.

"My man" and "bruh" are habits with me. I really need to check the male/female title before I post

Anyway, when you're on the main page (home page) you'll see a list
of Forums. The top 7 listed (Cockpit - Fowl Shots - The Sarge etc..)
Those are forums for the individual Gamecock Sports. There's some small
print under each forum that describes what each one is for. Below that
you'll see three other Forums in the next group. Smack Talk - The Locker
Room - High School Sports...Then another group of Forums below that
for general chit chat type forums. .. Just click on any of those forum
titles to get into them like you do The Cockpit (main forum) and start
your thread or post like you would in the Cockpit. The Locker Room or
Smack Talk is where most of the non Gamecock sports topics go. Be
careful in Smack Talk though. That's where we let our Rival Team fans
come and post and talk junk to each other. It's almost entirely un moderated
and sometimes the guys in there end up going at each other pretty hard.
If you like that kind of thing, it's a fun place to post, but if you're easily
offended by some sarcastic or rough language, it's not where you want
to spend a lot of time posting.

Hope that helps. Let me know if I can help you out with anything else.

    Later
    Rick (Spurticus)

Don't worry about it my man....It happens all the time. We try to keep the Cockpit for mainly Gamecock Football or USC administration news. All non Gamecock Sports items are usually posted in the Locker Room Forum. .... If you ever have a question about where / what should be posted just ask me or any of the other mods. ...Thanks for understanding bruh !

Thank you for the quick reply. I am a fan of the game and lack the knowledge of so many aspects of the game. However, I do feel sensitive to the emotions the fans and players have with this sport. Our family moved here from Fl. and are old Spurrier and Fl. fans as well. We have watched Spurrier for years and generally feel good about his decisions. I have a tendancy to worry about mental games and its affects on the players and the team. It has been fun reading your posts and I have learned a lot more about the game from you. Thank you for your time and energy with Cockytalk.

I got a whole new found respect for our head coach last night when he announced
Shaw as the Starter. He did nothing more than stay true to his word all summer long
that the QB position was an open competition, and for the last four weeks, he's been
telling fans that Shaw was the better performer in practices and scrimmages, and
even Wednesday re-emphasized to fans, Don't Be Surprised If Conner Gets The
Start. . . even at all that, I really expected Spurrier to say Garcia was the starter.
I was mildly shocked, but very pleasantly surprised that he gave the nod to Shaw.
He stayed true to his word by saying he was going to start the one who showed they
deserved it, He sent a message to all QB recruits that if you come here and work hard
you have a shot at starting regardless of who is on the roster ahead of you, and
sent a message to all the upperclassmen players . "You Slack Off, I'll Put The Guy
In That Shows Me He Deserves It" ! . .. . I had not really cared for a lot of things
Spurrier has done in regards to disipline the past three years. What he did last night
has given me a very good feeling about the future of this program. . . .That said,
Even with my feelings about Garcia, I still expect him to get the majority of PT this
fall, I still expect he'll start most of the other games (if not all), and I think if Shaw
goes out there Saturday and turns the ball over on his first couple of drives, and puts
the team in a bad spot, then I wouldn't wait until the second quarter to pull him, I'd
bring Garcia in, and tell Shaw "you're not ready for prime time yet" . . .If he lights it
up, and proves he can practice as well as play, then he deserves to be at least
given a chance to start other games, or at the very least, he deserves to be given
a chance to run the offense against the big boys, and not just in mop up duty.
Regardless of what most of the fans think here, this was a VERY GOOD THING
    for this team.
