The NAACP didn't say remove it from the entire grounds until after it was removed from the roof, and they didn't say it on purpose. They knew that if they demanded that they were less likely to get the vote, and they waited to see what the result would before they decided their next move. You don't care about he flag. I don't either. But a lot of people in this state do, and they are going to fight for it. Their reasons are their own. The only way to get rid of the flag is to ease their stance and or catch them unawares. The more demands are made and the more attention to this issue, the more they are going to get pissed off and resisted because no one likes being told what to do or what to think or believe in. No one. If there is ever going to be a successful compromise good suggestions need to be made to convince flag supporters another way is better. Making demands just reminds people that they other are trying to force them to do something they want to. And that is the problem. If someone tries to force something upon someone, you never know who or what someone will try to make you do next. You are building a reputation for being a pushover. People don't want to be pushovers.
