he said prior to the bowl that the time off made his foot feel so much better that the plan no longer was to have surgery after the bowl. as for the combine it will be interesting to see what he weighs in at and if he does the 40 and the bench press.

looking at the 40 times of last year's drafted dlinemen a sub 4.5 would have to be unprecedented (for his size). even something sub 4.6 would be outstanding. for that matter something in the 4.6's would still be great for a man his size.

If Clowney runs a 4.4-ish at the Combine and has above avg numbers on all the other measurables, then he will launch himself back up to the Overall #1 pick.

I suggest you read a couple of books that may give you a different perspective on sports agents. The first is "What They Don't Teach at Harvard Business School" by Mark McCormick who founded IMG, the first significant sports agency. After that pick up "Minding Other People's Business" and "Never Make the First Offer" by Donald Dell who founded ProServ, the second largest sport's agency in 1970. Although ProServ was started with tennis players, i.e. Arthur Ashe and Stan Smith it also represented players like Michael Jordan, James Worthy and other team and individual athletes. Good agents have a philosophy of handling the clients finances so that they will be able to live as well after their careers are over as they do during their playing days. I do have a certain insight into this as my wife was Donald Dell's executive assistant for many years and I count Donald as a close friend.

If he runs a 4.5 and blast the other measurables he will be a top 5 pick.

Didn't we hear about the spurs in 2012? If that was the case and he had the whole 2013 spring to rest it to play in the fall. Why do you think that a months rest it going to produce better results this time around? Just asking, since I have never had spurs that I know of.
