Thanx bruh, but the Spring Practices (right now) don't look like they'll
be any different from last season. My company has made some changes
in the past few months, and as of 3 weeks ago, they moved my office
across town to our other facility, but I'm there for about 6 hours of the
day, and then go back to my old office near the stadium for the last
couple of hours. If that continues through the spring (which it should),
I'll only miss the warmups and the field goal teams, but will still be able
to make it out there in time to see the position drills, one on ones,
Skels and full team drills. Starting March 5th ... I'M THERE !

I'm so excited for Spring write ups from Spurt...the only thing that tops it is fall practice, and then of course the start of the season.

Re: Spurt and Practice Reports

Seriously, someone needs to get word to Spurt's boss that any activities that lead to missed practice time are HIGHLY unacceptable. He has a job to do ... and that's feed us with info ... nothing more.

Ford was put on this Earth to create the assembly line, Enstein(sp) was put here to create electricity (and 50 million other things) ... Spurt was put on this Earth to give us practice reports

Re: Spurt and Practice Reports

Maybe we should sit his boss down and make him an offer he can't refuse.

They're actually just a recitation of a "play by play" of practice, which doesn't really provide any real insight.

But that's just my opinion, though others have told me they agree.

If that's all you get from Spurt's practice reports than you struggle at the English language.

I know some here, not saying you because I don't know, are butt hurt from Spurt since he's a mod and has to bring the ban hammer down sometimes, but his practice reports are FAR beyond "play by play".

This man goes out to the practice field, FOR FREE, and writes up his opinions, FOR FREE, so that some of us can get a feel of the team that aren't able to do so. He voices his opinion on the team, players, and coaches, that are a lot of times dead on. He tells you if he believes a player isn't give 100%, if they look injured, if they're showing out as a true freshman and battling for a position on the depth chart, and more times than not what he posts about in the Spring and Fall ... turn out to be truth during the season.

To keep from making a Spurticus lenght post myself, I will end it there, but that doesn't even touch the surface of what he does and how good he is at evaluating the whole team.

Some people allow their dislike for him to cloud their opinions on his practice reports, and that's just a shame.

Re: Spurt and Practice Reports

Also, he must be doing something right, because the OTHER boards now have full practice reports. SOME even gave, IN DETAIL, "play by play" accounts of everything that happened during practice/scrimmages.

I'm aware of the "other" sites' practice reports and how they compare.

I love spurticus' practice reports. He does a great job and I find them far more thorough than the summaries on other sites. Could not agree more with your supportive statements of his work, but Albert Einstein did not come close to creating/discovering electricity. the first battery was made in the 1800's and even the ancient greeks knew about electricity. About 100 years later, Einstein did get the Nobel for explaining how light could create electricity, but he wasn't even the one who discovered that.

You know, my original post was an attempt to humorously say that Spurt's reports are appreciated and looked forward to. And it seems that others have the same sentiment..but...
Lately it seems as no matter what the subject, or what a thread's intention, there will be one assclown that has to make a negative statement.
And Floyd, I trust that if that's your opinion, then the rest of us won't have to worry about reading your drivel in Spurt's future reports.
