UNC/USC article

Ok, before I get attacked, yes i know its a BR article. However, this is not a average joe writer with bias facts.

It may not be 100% legit, but kinda interesting.

You may not get attacked, but this will still get deleted most likely.

I understand exactly where you are coming from... I got himmed up for the last thread I started about Clemson using the state plane, even though two weeks later it was proved to be right... I appreciate ya, even if I might be the only one... lol

Interesting article. I don't think we are ever going to play enough for a real rivalry to become solidified with UNC like in the past. I don't see an annual game ever happening.

UGA is our border war rivalry game.

It's not about "being right"

It's about not posting garbage sites.

Will Folks, for example, might get it "right" every now and the, but he's a tabloid author. For each one he gets right, he gets 10 wrong, refuses to name sources, and just damages those he hears things about through those unnamed sources. Did you me it when Will Folks attacked the character of Scott Wingo? By posting links to his site, you're supporting him.

I'd actually like for us to have a rivalry with UNC. I don't think we will/should play every year, but maybe like every 2 or 3 years. If we have a border rivalry with the state below us why not the one above? Plus the name is similar.

If it happened, it obviously wouldn't be a huge rivalry like UGA is but I think its good for both states, and many people would be interested outside of SC and NC.

They wont want to play us again after we smash them and take their recruits.

I'd prefer a rivalry with a fan base that cares about football.

We've already got Clemson and the SEC. No sense toughening up our schedule too much. The only thing I feel about this year's opener is nerves.

NO similarity whatsoever between Tobacco Road and us!
History, anyone? Grosso? McGuire?
Powder blue = orange = backstabbing jerks.
Guess you and I cancel each other out. You want to give 'em a helping hand, and I want 'em to rot in ____. LOL.

Tar the screwholes. No reason whatsoever to schedule them again.

Re: UNC/USC article

Would love to see a SC/NC border war game played in Charlotte since it sits on the border and is pretty close to being halfway between the 2. This could become a great tailgate party and is made for TV. If they would play us in basketball every year we could play them in football every year, win win for me!

**** that I want a home game.

I bet the score will be 42-7

The only thing that I don't like about Charlotte is that we would have to give up 1 home game.

BOA is a top notch stadium but nothing can beat the atmosphere of an SEC stadium on a Saturday afternoon/night!

Charlotte sounds like a good idea, but it would get old quickly.

Screw UNC and everything about them. I'd be fine if we never played them again in anything.

I respect that...but would not want another acc stadium game especially one as small as north carolina so Charlotte is the only way I see it happening. It would be a very good out of conference team every year.
The basketball trade off would be a good deal as a home game every other year, both are made for TV events, North v South. Any publicity is good publicity and that would be great publicity in my opinion.

I would disagree, Jacksonville and the worlds largest cocktail party have been an SEC atmosphere since 1933 though it is 2 SEC teams, not played in an SEC stadium. It would put another big game on the schedule instead of east carolina or NAVY or some other option running team lol
