ACE SANDERS *****

this video makes me want to scream. why cant we fully rely on one player and just let them shine? could you imagine if spurrier called pass after pass to this man? when he was called upon, he done his job. clutch player. when you really needed ACE, he never let us down. nothing against our coaching staff, but... i think he couldve done a lot more here... a hell of a lot more. anyways... GOOD LUCK ACE!!!

Maybeeee he wasn't open every play? Or maybe he was over-looked?

Re: ACE SANDERS *****

If he called every pass play to him, I imagine a very unproductive passing game, with loads of interceptions. But, i'm not fortune teller.

Re: ACE SANDERS *****

I think we relied on him pretty heavily, assuming you don't really think we would call play after play to him cause thats just stupid. He shouldn't have left though but he's gone and will be missed. I'm still trying to figure out what the ***** is

lol. I think Sidney Rice caught just about every TD pass in 05. Spurrier also threw 3 straight fades to Alshon against Bama in 09, so hes no stranger to throwing "pass after pass" to a single receiver.

If you really wanted to see more of Ace, you should be complaining about yet another Gamecock deciding to leave school early for a late round selection in the NFL draft.

Great video! Why no Outback bowl footage? Was Ace 's most complete game, and he kept the game winning drive going three(?) times by getting a first down when needed. Helluva player and a great Gamecock! I was in the stands his first game as a freshman and he ran a great reverse against Southern Miss!

Re: ACE SANDERS *****

im just saying... he wasnt heavily relied upon. he never got double-teamed and announcers only mentioned his name after he made a big play. he never got the attention alshon received. if ace wouldve played for clemsux or west virginia... he probably wouldve gotten the ball a hell of a lot more and received nation recognition.

really watch ace in this video. his moves are unbelievable. for a man as small as him, he has the ability to break tackles with his power... not just speed. i think, if the team wouldve really relied upon ace, he couldve carried the team like lattimore. were gonna miss him bad next year. hopefully bruce can stay healthy

Yes and Ace would have been playing for a team that finished the last two seasons ranked worse than South Carolina. He would have been playing for a team that got their ass spanked by South Carolina for four seasons in a row now.

I thought the object was to win games, not to have players receive national recognition?? Honestly, it sounds to me like you would enjoy pulling for Clemson more. I mean that sincerely. From what you have stated in this thread, I think ole Dabo and Clemson would be much more your style. They are all about getting players National Recognition. You would probably fit right in dressed in orange.

But just remember come November when Spurrier and South Carolina stomp Dabo's ass where all that national recognition got you.

Wasn't Ace moved to another position mid year to get more opportunities? I think this may have backfired as Bruce and N Jones started to come alive but we we're trying to get him the ball more.

Ace and Bruce flip flopped spots mid year.

I feel like I was forced to read this thread. The formatting of the thread title insinuates that this was an urgent message. I thought maybe Ace was trapped at the bottom of an old well. But no- it was just someone saying its a good idea to force the ball to one player over and over even though we have many good players. I see.

Ace is good, but he is no Alshon/Sidney.

Wow you can be such a buzzkill...yes you are right we did beat Clemson and I doubt the OP was really suggesting that we run an offense that throws only to Ace, maybe he did and you're right that would be stupid. But I do see Raven's point he was a great talent and I don't see anything wrong with one of our fan's wanting a player to get national recognition and collect the stats. I will miss Ace and thought this was a great video thanks for posting.

Ace has proved how good he is time and time again. He has been an outstanding player since his arrival and I wish him the absolute best.

buddy... those are fighting words. i've been a life long gamecock. a georgia native that went to newberry academy. been pulling for my beloved gamecocks since 1987. orange and purple is just as dirty to me as Satan is to your church.

i just felt ace wasnt used to the best of his abilities. thats all. i think he is one of the best receivers to ever play at USC. he will be missed.

This is my video. And I made it before the Clemson game so that'd be why :p
