The Toughest Kid on Anybody's Block - John Roche
Ran across this article from the SI vault. For those of you my age that grew up watching Roche, this hit home with me as I fondly remember emulating Roche as I practiced free throws in my backyard. It was certainly a different time. Every game was on TV and this was before ESPN and sports channels!

Thanks for posting that. Roche played before I was born, so I've never read much about him. I googled him and Wiki says he's the only person in the NBA to play as a licensed lawyer. I know the name and I've seen his jersey at the CLA, but it is neat reading about great players of the past.

I grew up across the river from where John Ribock played for Aquinas High School in Augusta, GA. He was a heck of a player and provided the muscle that was needed on the great Gamecock Teams that Coach Frank McGuire had back then. I loved watching them play back then. :bballcoc::bballcoc::bballcoc:
