My surgery is tomorrow. Ugh!

Oh thrill of thrills!! My knee replacement surgery is tomorrow morning at 8:30. I'm so excited...............NOT!!! I've been a nervous wreck all day long. I've tried to keep my mind off it by cleaning and getting things ready for when I get home. I'll be coming home sometime on Friday. I'll log back on when I'm out of mind-numbing pain and let y'all know how things went. :)

Good luck.

Be sure to go to the right rehab after the surgery.

I'm going for the first time on March 18th, but I'll be doing knee exercises several times a day until I go to PT.

Didn't Dick Schapp die during his knee replacement surgery?

Good luck!

Good luck on a speedy recovery Mel.

Do not worry about and such as you know that is a necessary cost to much better overall benefits of the procedure.

Think positively and win anyway.

This is sort of exciting!

Will you be able to do this after your surgery?

GOOD LUCK!

Like I mentioned earlier, my Mom had this several years ago. The key is to do the rehab like the doc says. They will start you on it a few hours after you get out of surgery. My Mom did it religiously and her recovery went great.

Will be thinking about you!

THIS!!!

Hope your "pre-hab" has been going well. It's natural to be nervous, but managing your pain with meds (as prescribed), ice and even exercise will be the best approach. You might even try something simple like deep breathing or meditation techniques that are simple to start.
