gah i bet vincent smith hates that "hit". he even said hes only seen it once or twice, which i dont blame. he prob thinks its overrated and what's the big deal but hell yea it's a big deal. it'll be the same as if he trucked clowney, he would love it and cherish it for as long as he could.

He was hyped as the best recruit in a decade coming out of high school and was number one about every draft board well before the tackle, so I'm not sure how it changed his life other than to bring more attention from casual fans.

many did many did not. if you were a diehard cfb fan then you had heard of him. if you were a casual fan you might not have.

another thing it did was open him up to nfl fans. believe it or not many nfl fans couldnt tell you where the players in their league came from. college to them is a recruiting ground just as hs is to a college fan. only the diehards follow hs recruiting.

i talked about clowney to a group of guys i would see every sunday for nfl games and they had no clue who he was. i told them he wouldve been a possible number 1 out as a soph and they thought i was insane.

after the "hit", when i saw them next, they were talking about him alot. even saying how much they wanted him on their team..

We have got to TAKE the SEC this year with this being JDC's last season with us! It's been ours to win the last 2 years and we let one game cost us the opportunity each year. Stay hungry EVERY week guys!

Honestly I think that he now realizes there is still more recognition he can receive. Sure he knows he was getting publicity last year and before the hit but now he knows how much hype he can get if he plays to his potential and makes a few huge plays again. I have no doubt we will be seeing this man on ESPN's top 10 plays most Saturday nights this season. Also, props to his mom for nipping this not playing stuff in the bud with him quickly. Way to go mom!

Yea, the title is a little ambitious. His life has been set on a path to greatness for a long time. This was just an affirmation of that.

Don't forget to keep voting for JD on ESPN best of the best. There are a whole lot of people voting against him every week - not FOR the other play, just so he will lose. We can't let up because they sure aren't.
