Sammy Esposito, on 107.5 today, said that it might be a rotator cuff and they hoped to keep him out for a game or two, but sounded like it was expected for English to be back before long.

English's MRI showed that he will NOT need surgery. They said the results were good. Still awaiting a specific diagnosis but NO SURGERY NEEDED.

But he is doubtful for the weekend. Good news

Beal throws a nasty breaking ball. If he can keep his pitches near the strike zone and keep his fastballs down, he will be very effective.

Beal's coming out party was against Clemson last season. He really showed what he was capable of. He's just got learn to be consistent.

When Monty gets back, I'd like for Beal to stay in the starting weekend rotation at possibly Saturday if Nolan keeps Sunday locked up. Holmes has a tendency to get it up too much and get rocked, unless he has improved.
