i dont know the story is more focused about the UNC issues (which i still dont understand how they got off so lightly) but i saw the story and saw a few people on twitter talking about it so ...

It never said that this happened while he was at USC and never said that he received any money at any time period. In fact, Watson wanted Culliver to delete the messages that he sent to Culliver

The article only says Culliver received a text message and was advised by the sender to delete it. It does not say he provided an account number or took any money. Give him the benefit of the doubt that he said "No thanks."
