Pankake National Player of he Week

According to GamecocksOnlne....

Columbia, S.C. - Sophomore shortstop Joey Pankake has been named "Louisville Slugger's" National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball and is among three other players to earn the honor. Pankake was also named SEC Player of the Week. Pankake belted four homers, scored seven runs and knocked in nine runs for the Gamecocks last week over five games as he hit .438 (7-for-16).

For the season, Pankake is hitting .326 (15-for-46) with four homers, 14 RBI and 11 runs scored. He is currently on a seven-game hitting streak.

Pankake is the second Gamecock player this year to earn SEC Player of the Week honors. LB Dantzler was an honoree by the conference on Feb. 25.

There is a guy here who watch every game and was at a couple of the games and found a way to miss every one of Pankake's bombs

I'm game. That trip cost me $24 yesterday for 2 bottles of water and 2 chicken strip combo orders. Stuff is insane. So if y'all want to pitch in and buy me food, I won't shed tears.

I will go away tomorrow when he bats to see if it works when I knowingly walk away. If it gets to the postseason and he is up in a big spot, I will be as clueless and unaccounted for as possible.

Congrats Joey!!! I love it when gamecock players receive attention for their contributions on and off the field. You can tell he has improved so much since last year

I got a pack of boiled peanuts as well. But my wallet was obviously in tears after that.

I never, ever buy food at sporting events unless I have to. The prices are just outrageous for most everything
