Eric Norwood

I thought he was still with some team in the NFL. Does anyone know any particular reason why it did not work out for him. His size maybe? In any case I was a bit surprised of his latest.

From what I understand from a Panther forum that I read was that Norwood enjoyed being an NFL player but didn't put the work in that was needed.

I heard he didn't fit the system, but I have no idea if that's true. I sure hope it wasn't work ethic. That's absolutely the worst reason to be run out of the NFL.

Sometimes money does that.

Yeah he didn't fit with the Panthers at all and he never seemed to have a good motor in the NFL.

Too slow when he put on the weight needed to get some push. At least, thats what i saw in his limited chances.

You think the money went to his head. Could be, but he wasn't good enough to be lazy. Now he doesn't have a job or any money.

That's too bad...

Wish him good luck in the future!

Have no idea about size, but I agree he did not fit that system and I really think his size was an issue. We all know college and NFL are vastly different.

If he's got a degree, he should be using it instead Arena Football .............geez !

Wow. You know something is terribly wrong if a player can't even make it in the UFL.

Is UFL still around? I've heard the league had some money trouble and they were done last year.

Yet another awful draft pick by the Panthers.

He has a tryout at the Saints mini-camp this weekend. Could be a good fit for Saints new 3-4 as an OLB rushing the QB. Hopefully he or Shaq or both can catch on with the Saints or at least get invited back to training camp.

Coolest move I ever saw from a college player was when he moved interviewing Erin Andrews aside to raise a "health' when the Alma Mater played.

This is why it is a good idea to get a degree. The NFL doesn't always pan out.
