Need IT help(Networking)

If someone on this message board can please help me with some networking issues on a Toshiba Satellite , I will let you get an autographed piece of memorabilia out of my collection. The issue is the Net Adapter Card (corrupted)

Have you tried this?

Click the plus sign next to the network adapter. Right-click your network adapter and click properties and then driver. Uninstall the the driver. Next, do a scan for hardware changes in device manager. Windows should find the uninstalled network card and then reinstall the driver. That should fix the problem.

So it could be a driver issue, or possible a malware issue.

Can you please confirm whether the problem lies in the Wired or wireless adapter.

And is it possible to connect to the internet at all using a wired or wiresless connection?

I would suggest installing and running Malwarebytes.....

IDK. I told him it was a driver issue this morning and how he could possibly fix it, but he didn't respond.

I talked with him. Sounds like a driver issue. He was running an old version of XP. He will upgrade to the latest service packs, uninstall the wireless router and software, and then re-install.

I talked to him last night as well Yancey...same conclusion. He has another LT and was going to download/burn the XP service packs and retry.
