Omaha Eight:Week Five
There are no changes from last week.
1. North Carolina — They didn’t come out unscathed, but the Tar Heels won a big early season conference series against Miami. 2. Vanderbilt — The reeling Gators come to town this weekend to face the red-hot Commodores. Series to watch? 3. LSU — After a hard-fought series win over Mississippi State, the Tigers get a bit of a breather against Auburn this weekend. Opportunity for a let down? 4. Oregon State — The Beavers went into Tucson and swept the defending champs last week. Now it’s time to host an angry Arizona State. 5. South Carolina — The Gamecocks welcomed Missouri to the SEC with a series win, but they’ll have to hit the ball better this weekend to beat Arkansas. 6. Florida State — After a mid-week win over rival Florida, the Seminoles dropped their first game Friday before coming back to win the weekend series over Maryland. It gets much tougher this week. 7. Mississippi — The Rebels went into Fayetteville and got a big series win over Arkansas. Texas A&M comes to town this weekend. 8. UCLA — It was a perfect week for the Bruins, but the competition heats up this week against a pretty good California team. http://www.chasingomaha.com/college-...ek-five-2.html |

North Carolina just needs to go away. So sick of them.

Sadly they won't until they get to Omaha simply because they play absolutely nothing but garbage teams in and out of conference. They do not play FSU this year; Miami, GT, UVA and NCSU mediocre at best and the rest of the conference is absolute garbage. Thanks to their overinflated W-L record the NCAA will again award them a national seed in which they will host one of the weakest regionals out there. Of course they will be paired with the weakest super regional team that will probably have to come all the way over from the West Coast to face them. So it will be Omaha before they ever face even a half way decent team. |
Re: Omaha Eight:Week Five
Actually, it wouldn't surprise me if we faced them in a Super
|
Re: Omaha Eight:Week Five
If we are both national seeds, as this is projecting, that won't happen.

Love the fact that 50% of the teams are SEC

Right, good point.
Obviously I hope we're a national seed. |
