Shaw still doesn't believe
I love Connor and he's a solid QB for sure. However, he still relies on his legs and short passes a little too much. I don't think he's improved much over the past 2 years.
I was at the game Thursday and of course it's tough to see everything while you're there. I watched the game on ESPN the next day. I watched it again yesterday - the one with Todd Ellis doing the commentary. I focused on when Connor took off running or threw short passes and I saw several times where we had 1, and at times even 2, guys wide open. Many times it was for 8-12 yard gains but instead of trusting the system and throwing he would take off or dump it for no gain. He is waiting too long still and not anticipating where they will be. He HAS to know the playbook very well by now so I am just surprised. I hope Dylan gets in for at least 1 or 2 drives this week because we know he's not going to run.
I think Connor's main advantage is that when things break down he can scramble for 2 yards or throw it away where as Dylan is more likely to take a sack.
I just wish Connor would sling it a little more and have more trust in the visor.

18-3 as our starting QB
12-0 record at home.
He will be the starting QB and run the majority of the reps in the games
as long as he wins.
