Winning on the road
First off, I'm very surprised at the immaturity of many of the fans on this board. I hope it's not a true representation of the majority of gamecock fans. We all hate to lose, but some of you are way too emotional...
Now, on to the topic of my thread. For those of you who haven't travelled around to big time away games (Ga, Fla, LSU, Clemson, etc.) it is very difficult to win on the road in those environments. Why do you think UGA has only lost one home game in the last 3 seasons? Same goes for LSU, UF, and us. When's the last time we lost at home? I honestly don't remember...
I fully expected UGA to look like a different team at home. I was disappointed that our defense couldn't get a few stops when they needed it, they're young in the back 7 and I suspect they'll improve as the season plays out.
It's time to move on to the next one.... Go cocks, beat Vandy!
Re: Winning on the road
We are a different team at home. We haven't lost in Columbia since auburn 2011. That's almost 2 YEARS.
You can bet that the defense coaches will work the guys asses off this week. It's only one game,
If we are to lose, I'd rather have it at the beginning since if you lose when the BCS comes out and rankings are more important, a loss messes everything up.
