Cotton Bowl... No thanks

Not if it means we have to face the Baylor Bears. As projected here:
http://www.teamspeedkills.com/2013/1...lina-texas-a-m

1. It would essentially be a home game for them
2. That offense is half way good at getting into the endzone.

My Gamecocks can't beat any team anywhere. Please don't post this tin man crap anymore.

Eh, you gotta play somebody. I'd rather it be a good team, it helps our case for our final BCS ranking. Personally, I'd rather play Baylor in Dallas than Duke in Atlanta.

I want ohio state to lose and us to somehow get matched up with them

I would like to see us play the highest ranked team as possible.

I don't think we're going to have to worry about going to the Cotton Bowl to begin with.

I said it once and I'll say it again, cotton is too much of a risk- especially on their part.

I sure am glad the team doesn't have your attitude. I say bring it on and show Baylor that the SEC isn't the weak ass Big 12.

Id rather play in a Florida game since we recruit that state. Atlanta wouldnt be back either because it would be an easy game to get to.

Exactly. Last year we played #18 Michigan as a top ten team.

Bring on Baylor - or anyone else for that matter. I have complete confidence in this team and coaching staff to play a very competitive game against anyone in the country (especially with a month to prepare).

Why the negative/pessimistic attitude? What have you seen that gives you that notion? And yes, I know we had one major blip on the season-long radar.

It would be cool to play Texas or Oklahoma

I think this is the direction the Cotton Bowl would go for. A Spurrier vs Stoops or Brown would be a draw. USC vs Bay would not get much national attention.

For the last few years Clemson's offense has rung up points like a pinball machine. What have they done against us in that same time span?

Whammy and his staff would have a few weeks to study film and formulate a plan. While our defense isn't the equivalent of the Steel Curtain, they've played progressively better as a unit. I feel good about them, more so knowing Clowney and some of the other guys on defense that have been nicked up can heal.

Plus, those few weeks give MD28 the chance to let his body heal. Wilds will be further along, and Shaw should be a step or two quicker. If we control the ball and the clock, they can't light up the scoreboard.

Bring them on....

We've seen over and over that this high powered offenses don't do well against good defenses...eg Oregon vs Stanford, LSU & Auburn, Baylor vs OKSt, Clemson vs us, FSU. Bring 'em on!

Even if they lose the Big Ten title they're still headed to a BCS game.

Cotton Bowl is not going to take us because we won't have 10,000 people there. Longest trip and the tickets start at like $150

LEt's just go to the Pizza bowl and play Uconn. How did that work out.

We are a top ten team. We shouldn't be scared to play anyone. Bring it on.

Yea...lets avoid teams we think might give us problems....that makes for a national championship.....NOT. Our goal is to be the best team in the nation one day and you can't be the best if you don't beat the next best.
