Is it time to play Georgia last?

Could our season finale be as important as the Iron Bowl if we played Georgia last?

Flame away:shotgunc:

It would be a nice change of pace, playing clem5on is getting boring, at least uga would be a game that " matters"

No.

There has been talk of Clemson being dropped entirely if the SEC adds more teams. Who needs Big Thursday anyhow?

Re: Is it time to play Georgia last?

I liked playing them the 4th or 5th week like 2012.

It's not up to us. SEC sets the conf game schedules.

nope. We can always count on some injured or suspended dawgs early in the season. Lol

Lets keep playing them early. Atleast we'll know for sure that they have someone suspended like the HBC said. :rotfl::woo:

Clemson will not be dropped, ever, so y'all can just stop with that kind of talk.
Rivalry games, be they intra or inter conference, should remain the last game.

I'm not suggesting that we drop cLIMPson, but, Saturday was a #10 vs. #4, and our game got 0 highlights/coverage after the game was over. I watched ESPN News for about 45 minutes, after the game, and there was nothing. I'm suggesting that we put an SEC game, last, so that the game has Championship implications, like the Iron Bowl often does.

I don't think we're even a rival to UGA. We may consider them one, but they probably have 3-4 teams ahead of us on the list. Regardless, that game would never be a big as the iron bowl.

nothing could top the Iron bowl last week. Number 4 vs Number 1 with everything on the line would be hard for the Super Bowl to top that match up.

3 teams with national title implications played on the same day.
You'd didn't see that coming into it?

Sure it was 2 top ten teams (10 vs 6) but outside of shots for BCS bowls, what national appeal is there?

Super Bowl is world wide.
Even the Ravens-49ers got more views.

We would have gotten a ton of media on our game had:

A) We beaten Tennessee (that second loss murdered us on the national stage)
B) The Iron Bowl not ended in such dramatic fashion with an Auburn win.

Well, Texas and Texas A&M fans thought their rivalry would never be dropped either. And its gone.

Re: Is it time to play Georgia last?

I wouldn't like moving the Clemson game. I know...its just another ACC out of conference game. No big deal.

But that game is a tradition for thousands of families all across the state. The cherry on top of football season.

How about lets start making the SEC Conf Champ game more often, then our final regular season game WILL be a ranked SEC opponent!

Texas Fans didn't care as much.

OU is their main rival.
