BCS and Northern Illinois Loss

I'm not too up on the whole BCS roulette that takes place, but in y'all's opinion who gets that spot now that NI lost?

Tell me Bowling Green doesn't get an automatic bid, that would be a crime.

Baylor probably, as long as they beat Texas.

IMO Baylor.

UCF heads to the fiesta now (because it has the last pick) and the SEC champ players Baylor in the sugar

Pretty much locks clemson into getting a spot.

Unless FSU loses tonight, Clemson has pretty much been an Orange Bowl lock most of the season.

That sound you hear is a collective sigh of relief from the Sugar Bowl committee.

BCS system had to go...

Baylor is more deserving than Clemson. Clemson beat one quality opponent all year. What a joke...

Where as IMO we have 3. UCF Missouri Clemson

3 Top 10 Seasons and no BCS game. That has to be some sort of record

Here's to hoping for BAMA v Clemson and another bowl beat down record

Just playing Devils advocate here, but I know there have been threads about SOS.

According to SOS rankings, Clemson's is tougher than Baylor's. (53-62)

The fact that Northern Illinois was even in the conversation is a joke.

Going by the tOSU argument, the fact that you are undefeated, regardless of who you play, matters.

Re: BCS and Northern Illinois Loss

Clemson has zero business getting a BCS bid and the fact that they will despite not winning their conference and losing 2 of the 3 meaningful games they played shows how crappy the system truly is.

There are several teams in discussion for the BCS that are jokes. The system should put the best teams in the country against one another....period. Why conferences agreed to this stupid 2 team rule I will never understand. Now, the way it is starting to look, you will have several Non-BCS bowl games that will have better matchups than the BCS bowls.

I don't care what that SOS says, Baylor is 10-1, and will have beaten quality teams Okla, Texas tech, and Texas (most likely).

Look at the teams Clemson beat...

Where do we stand if 5,6, and 7 lose today? I think I saw the last week was the final polls of the season. Why is that though? There are regular season and Conference championship games today. Couldn't we be ranked as high as 5th after this weekend if there was another poll?

None of those are really quality wins. Just big name brands that are a shell of their former glory...

Coaches and AP run till the end of the season.
Tomorrow night the last BCS poll comes out.
