BCS Projections

Now that everything is settled, the Orange will have first pick for replacement, then the Sugar. Then Orange will get to pick again, then Sugar again, then Fiesta.

BCS NC: Auburn vs. Florida State
Orange: Ohio State vs. Clemson
Sugar: Alabama vs. Oklahoma
Rose: Michigan State vs. Stanford
Fiesta: Baylor vs. Central Florida

The bolds are the automatic tie-ins. UCF is basically a lock to be last pick, Alabama is basically a lock to be the first pick. You could make an argument for Ok. St. or Oregon for the 2nd spot in the Sugar

EDIT: Switched Bama and OSU because of rule stated below.

I thought UCF was originally picked for the Sugar to play OSU. I think Oregon gets in before Oklahoma and plays Baylor in the Fiesta.

Alabama is going to the Sugar

3. If a bowl loses a host team to the NCG, then such bowl shall select a replacement team from among the automatic-qualifying teams and the at-large teams before any other selections are made. If two bowls lose host teams to the NCG, each bowl will get a replacement pick before any other selections are made. In such case, the bowl losing the No. 1 team gets the first replacement pick, and the bowl losing the No. 2 team gets the second replacement pick. If the Rose Bowl loses both the Big Ten and Pac-12 champions to the NCG, it will receive two replacement picks.

A bowl choosing a replacement team may not select:

A. A team in the NCG, or

B. The host team for another BCS Bowl;

Further, when two bowls lose host teams, the bowl losing the No. 1 team may not select a replacement team from the same conference as the No. 2 team, unless the bowl losing the No. 2 team consents.

That was when Northern Illinois or Fresno was taking up a spot. Now they will be last pick in the Fiesta

That was when N. Illinois was BCS bound.

Oh God. Coach Holtz needs to retire. "Is Auburn the #2 without a doubt?" Asks Reece. Coach replies" No I think Alabama should be in it."

Don't you have to be Top 14 BCS to make one? Clemsons gonna come close if so.

thanks

With Arizona St losing, Oregon goes from 12 to 11....with Oklahoma 17 winning today, it seems like a stretch for Oklahoma to jump Oregon.....but Edwards predicted Okla in a BCS bowl.

Re: BCS Projections

I think Clemson can beat tOSU. I think Mich St can man up and sneak by Stanford.

I think if anyone can get by the FSU defense, it would be the triple option of Auburn. Bama vs. Oklahoma? I expect a Bama blowout.

and last but not least, Baylor drops a load UCF's tidy season.

I don't see the desire for two ACC teams over two PAC 12 teams. I was hoping Ohio states loss would put clempson in a lower bowl.

Its all about ticket sales. How many Oregon fans are going to travel to Miami? Very few.
