Godzilla (2014)

Probably my most anticipated movie ever:

So they send some paratroopers to go take out Godzilla? Let me know how that works out.

Same here. I'd rather see a Godzilla Vs than to see another turd like the last one.

Hopefully, it's not some BS where we don't see Godzilla until the last 10 minutes of the movie like they did with Cloverfield.

Hopefully its cool like Pacific Rim and lots of fighting and buildings falling over.

Pls let this be good. I loved all the old Godzilla movies when I was growing up.

Hate to say it but I think that's how it's going to be, I've been following the production pretty closely.

As have I, and considering he's supposed to be fighting two other monsters, I hope you're going to see a good bit of him. However, with the director saying he wants to make this a story where you care about the human aspect of the attacks as well as saying he wants every scene with Godzilla to have a great impact on the viewer (thus, he didn't want Godzilla in EVERY scene), we probably won't get as much of him as we'd like.

Regardless, I do like the direction they're taking with this movie. It seems very dark and (as) realistic (as you can get regarding the source material), instead of that cheesy Matthew Broderick film. The 1998 film would have been a little bit better if they wouldn't have named it "Godzilla" and instead just called it Super Iguana or something. What they did with Godzilla in that film would be akin to making a new movie about Mickey Mouse, and when you finally watch the film, Mickey is actually an opossum with mouse ears.

I approve of all posts I n this thread and I too love Godzilla.

I remember being a kid and hating the old Godzilla vs King Kong crap that was made. Godzilla would've fried that monkey and ate him in 15 minutes.

Re: Godzilla (2014)

The official main trailer just released. I know I'm biased, but this looks like it's going to be pretty freaking awesome. I have always wanted a dark, serious-toned Godzilla movie done with a Hollywood budget; and, no, that corny, popcorn flick 1998 version isn't Godzilla.

That music about halfway through was the same music that plays in 2001 when the apes find the monolith.

I thought the last one was good, i mean it was a stepup "darkness" wise from the original, i just hope they dont try to make this too dark, and i hope they show godzilla alot and not cloverfield it where you dont see the monster much.

I just hope Godzilla doesn't get into the blue meth.
