I hope we spend a lot more next year. Mangus should get a hefty raise.

Mangus is the lowest paid at $180K, not Grady Brown.

So to get this straight:

We're Top #8 BCS.

We're #8 in Stadium Seating Capacity attendance at 102.8%.

We're #9 for TV Viewership Nationally South Carolina 3,499,875 avg 2.2rating

We're the 16th most valuable team in the NCAA, according to Forbes.

We have the Nation's longest home winning streak for BCS AQ teams.

Our QB is #1 in the Nation for Fewest INT's.

We're going after our 3rd consecutive 11 win season and 1 of only 4 teams in the country to do so.

We beat that team from the upstate for the 5th consecutive year.

Our Coaching Staff is paid in the Top 20 nationally.

We are recruiting Top 20 ranked classes every year.

...and we're the Nation's youngest CFB team.

Damn, it feels good to be a Gamecock.

Yep. He's been at the same rate with no bonus due to "the incident" for a couple of years. I think he is eligible for both as of July 1, 2014.

Thanks for posting this. I think we have a tendency to take all of this for granted. Just think of all the "elite" programs that don't measure up to very many of these standards.

We keep saying we are not "elite" yet, but it's a mindset. Some of our "fans" even go on this board and list a litany of reasons why South Carolina will NEVER be elite. That blows my mind. We have already shown that we can sustain excellence. The problem is that with each succeeding year, we raise our expectations, which is amazing to contemplate.

In so many ways, this college, this program, this team is already outperforming established "elite" teams. Can we continue to climb the ladder? With Ray at the helm and HBC calling the plays, I say ABSOLUTELY.

I think we can, but we might have to dig deep to keep one or two from moving on, we'll see. But I expect a lot of movement of SEC asst coaches this year.

I think we need to pay our coaches more or we stand a chance of losing them to someone else.

Re: Gamecock Asst. Coach Salaries

BTW, Spurrier is 12th nationally for HC salaries at $3,300,000, that's good for 5th in the SEC. 2 million less than Saban per year, but SOS has a max bonus of 1.5 million. That's the highest max bonus in the SEC and one of the highest in the country.

I imagine they stand to get raises after this season and the success the program has seen under many of them.

Every one of our coaches deserves a raise. Continuity in the coaching staff is huge imop. Ray tanner seems like the type of guy that you would like to keep working with.
