Once again the SEC crushes. Really surprised that Mizzou beat us. Since we both had 8 rated games, I'm going to guess that the SEC champ sent them over the top. Considering that we had more games televised in the regular season, and that they only beat us by 500,000 views even with the SEC Champ game., I'm going to say that we're the 6th most popular SEC team in terms of TV ratings.

Oh, hey there Clemson, I see you creeping down there towards #20. Interesting fact, Clemson had 2 more rated games than us (how is that possible) and still had almost 1 million fewer viewers.

Ouch.

The acc will move up next year due to having the heisman winner...I think that is why a&m was so high

I think the most amazing thing is that Notre Dame has its own network per se and they only ranked 9th. No one watches them and they are on every week.

You have to remember that one of the big reasons the SEC invited Missou is so they could get into that Midwest market which includes Kansas City and St Louis, two pretty big markets.

I know I haven't watched them on NBC in years. Why would you?

Ditto for Texas

The Cap One should be pretty highly viewed, both USC and Wisc are in the Top 20 for both rankings and viewership.

Proud to see us up so high, we are an asset to the SEC. Just as they have been to us. For us old timers that remembers how the acc worked, this is uncharted territory.

The SEC and more importantly, The University of South Carolina has ALL of the momentum in the state of South Carolina. It was cool to cheer for Clemson when they *were winning. Not any more.

Though I'm sure it's great for their fan base to see all those W's, racking up wins against inferior teams.

The reason for those Clemson games is because they were on prime time and on ABC. (FSU and UGA)

We only had one game network tv this year and it was at noon vs UCF

That's pretty impressive for South Carolina.

I think these numbers could be a tad skewed simply because the SEC is on ESPN more than any conference.

6 of the top 10. 12 of the top 25. Not bad.

True, but I think the numbers is still based on AVERAGES.

So pulling out my statistician's hat, I guess the SEC just had a larger sample size, but the result was still that SEC produces more "compelling material" to watch on TV.

That 3.5 million eyeballs view USC games is probably point #1 why the CapOne Bowl chose us.

It's only for ND home games. It's pretty much the only reason Notre Dame won't join a conference in football. They get a shit load of $ from NBC.
