Byrd To Miss Bowl With Knee Injury

Josh Kendall ‏@JoshatTheState 7m WR Damiere Byrd will have knee surgery and won't play in the Capital One Bowl.
Sucks as he really came on this season. We'll need Roland to step up big now....

sucks to lose that deep threat who can get past anyone and affect the safeties to open it up for underneath stuff, but guys will just have to step up. we've got too much talent and experience not to perform well even without byrd. very disappointed he'll miss the game though as a fan and for him, he's had a very good year. now im concerned about how bad the injury is.

definitely would expect kane to get some snaps to help stretch the field. might even get a kwinton sighting.

Kane Whitehurst...time to shine and put your jets on.

Too bad. I was expecting at least one long td from him in the bowl.

Only positive...i don't have to watch him get run over attempting to block on a wr screen. ;)

Actually, it probably just means Shaq Roland will get more targets.

Glad it's not an ACL.

D Byrd really came a long way this year.

Sucks for Byrd. Look for Nick Jones to step up in his place. Ole reliable...

Sucks. Thank goodness for all the depth we have at WR.

Lets hope this gets SOS to also open up with the TE's as well.

Nick Jones moves back into the starting B receiver.

Big blow to our offense.
