50% chance of rain Jan 1 in Orlando

So we just got to Orlando and last I looked 2 days ago it was gonna rain Tuesday and clear Wedsnday. Now the weather is saying 50% chance Wedsnday and none tomorrow. Really think that will help the Badgers if it rains consistently.

Weather channel says 60% rain but the local orlando stations say 40%. 72 degrees with 80% humidity too.

Yea rain would favor Wisky IMO. Depends how heavy if is. Light rain won't make much difference.

The National Weather Service says a 40% chance of showers. Much ado about nothing. Scattered showers.

I saw somewhere that north west orlando will get the most rain. I didn't go to the bowl last time but it looks like the stadium is closer to down town

Both teams would have problems with a slick football but the rain favors the passing team. Defensive Backs tend to struggle with their footing and getting in/out of their back peddle and breaks.

Same could be same for linebackers that need to react and find the right gap or stand their ground against talented runningbacks.

If it rains, it will be sloppy on both sides.

This. You can make an argument either way. If it does give an advantage, it's a slight one IMO and the simplest way to put it is this: what's easier to do in the rain? Throw and catch a wet football or hand one off to a RB to plod forward? That's why I say it probably gives a SLIGHT advantage to the running team. When do you ever see teams playing in heavy rain or snow and deciding to drop back and air it out all game? You don't. Rain affects the game for both teams and any advantage it does give is mostly negligible, IN LIGHT RAIN... now if we're talking torrential (sp?), then it gives the power running team the advantage all day, and I don't see how you can even argue that. That being said, I don't think we're talking torrential here, so any effect this weather will have on the game should be small and will impact both teams about the same.

I dunno... Our passing game is marginal to begin with. Add in some wind and rain and we become even more one-dimensional.

In land-locked Madison, smack dab in the middle of the continent, weather comes rolling in predictably like the German army invading Russia. But in Florida? I think the weatherman is just guessing.

Most of the rain and wind should be coastal and to the north. There will be some light drizzle and rain on & off. 50% chance. Bring a poncho. Wind should be around 7 mph so it won't be a factor.

It rains nearly every day in Florida. But if you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes, 'cause it will change.
