It is a fact but facts can be used for some smack! I know I laughed when I read it, as would many Gamecocks I imagine...

I think South Carolina beat more Top 10 teams than any team in the state of South Carolina ever has. 1st!

Re: South Carolina beat more top 10 teams..

I thought you were wrong at first, but I did some research on it. Since Dabo took over at Clemson, if my research is correct, he has never beaten a team that has finished in the AP Top 10. I didn't look at the coaches polls, but usually they aren't that far off.

We beat 3 this year that finished in the AP Top 10 and have beaten 5 teams that have finished in the AP Top 10 during the time that Dabo has been a head coach.

I'm not swearing this research is absolutely correct, but from what I was able to tell, Clemson has never beaten a team that finished in the Top 10 with Dabo at the helm.

They have beat a couple that were top 10 at the time they played, but the final poll is what counts.

Yep...you are right. And from what I saw....they have never done it with Dabo as their head coach.

I don't think there's any dispute that South Carolina is better than Clemson in every way.

Facts and stats have no place in an argument with those who are not open
to rational thought or Hard Evidence. Those kinds of things only serve to
lock someone into Reality and does not leave room for abstract conjecture.

Outstanding work. I knew they hadn't beaten any AP Top 10 finishers since Dabo had taken over. I didn't check the coaches poll. Points to you.

Here is a far better stat:

How many times a team has won at least 11 games, but, were completely miserable the very next day the season ended because despite winning 11 games, they still must look up with envy at their in-state rival for at least another 364 days:
Clemson- 2 (12, 13)
USC- 0
