Clemson won the ACC with Steele as DC. As long as West Virginia doesn't join the conference, they will be fine.

Petrino will put up 45-50 points against everyone so defense doesn't really matter

LMAO. And the rest of the country will remain safe from Clemson with Venables as their DC.

If auburn won the SEC giving up 29.5 points per game in league play.
UL can win the ACC with whatever they give up.

Eh. Venables is a big step up from Steele. Clemson's defense was a bit more respectable this season.

That should actually scare Clemson more than anything. I love it that Louisville is on the Atlantic side as well, there is no where for Clemson to run now. Removes the Maryland W and adds a Louisville L to your schedule. It's no wonder Morris wants to exit that situation, he's smarter than I thought.

Louisville football: Kevin Steele declines defensive coordinator offer

Re: The ACC is safe from Lousiville

Kevin Steele might not be the best defensive coordinator ever, but Clemson didnt do a great job getting him talent while he was there. Clemson hasnt brought in an all the way through solid defensive class since Swinney has been the head coach. Lots of skill guys, and linebackers, but no quality defensive depth.

Who's Lousiville?

Venables has made some improvement (and I think he is recruiting some talent). Historically, the "taters" have not dodged scheduling SEC teams as OOC games; why should they fear Louisville? If anything hopefully Louisville will help the Strength of Schedule. I wish the they would not schedule Div 1 FCS teams. There are enough cupcakes in the ACC already.
