NFLPA Bowl Game

Connor is most likely to start for the National Team, it seems.

Best thing is that they game is going to be telecast on ESPN on a Wednesday AND on a Thursday.

Apparently, it gets better viewership than the East-West Shrine Game.

NFL scouts will be there and they can meet the players up close and get to know a bit about their personality and character.

I expect Connor Shaw to Light it Up!

Played at the Stub Hub Center, which is a VERY NICE bowl for smaller crowds.

This is the home stadium of the LA Galaxy, where David Beckham played his home games. Very, very nice and up to date facility.

Connor starting? No surprise there...his team was #4 and beat 5 Top 25 teams and two of those were Top 10.

I'm excited for Connor because it looks like he's going to get one-on-one time with scouts, which could be huge for him.

Any intelligent scout will know that you don't measure Connor by his statute but rather by the size of his heart.

And 3 teams that we beat finished in the AP top 10 (UCF finished at #10).

I expect Connor to perform at a high level as usual. He will make an even bigger name for himself. Hopefully, impress some scouts along the way. Also I am looking forward to seeing Jimmy Legree play. He may not be a high rated guy, but if given the chance, I believe he can really make a team very happy in the NFL.

The week of practice can be more important than the game. Hopefully there are some good reports from twitter and draft sites.

Also will be interesting to see how Connor does with a different offense. SOS' offense is not easy to learn...I wonder if it gives Connor any advantage going forward?

that's true. But his hard work in practice got him a lot of playing time in the League, so it all worked out.

The practices (at least some) are going to be televised on at least one of the ESPN channels.

Right. I'm just tempering expectations. The fact is, while CS is my favorite Gamecock ever, his ceiling is still his ceiling. Hopefully, the scouts will recognize the intangibles he brings to a team.

That being said, I hope he has an OUTSTANDING game at the SR bowl. :woo:
