Day One Practice for National Team NFLPA

...was basically "The Connor Shaw Show".

They showed lots of his game clips, discussed his strengths and weaknesses, and showed his very intense NFL-style interview with Bill Poulina sitting in. It went on and on... I couldn't believe it!

Connor handled it perfectly.

All his passes in practice were completions, including those down the field.

He is obviously THE key player at this bowl game and they are playing him up, which is FABULOUS!

Can't wait to see him play Saturday.

P.S. -- I'd love to see how most players respond to the types of rapid-fire in-your-face questions that he sat through. Connor is sharp as a tack and it came through loud and clear. Bet most kids look like they need to go back to junior high after flubbing their interview.

The question everyone wants to know is... how were his spec ops skills?

I'd love to see a video of that interview. Anyone seen it posted anywhere?

Edit: I found it. If you have WATCHESPN, it's 1h05m into this video.

He hit it. After that segment they all questioned Todd and Bill they said, he understood the situation he was in and nailed it.

Shaw looks like an old man on the couch...he just needs a natty ice to complete the look
lol

Hope he knocks it out though, I was a harsh, harsh critic of his but this year he looked and played the part of an SEC caliber QB very well.

Good Luck Connor

After watch two days of practice, of the QB's for the National Team, Connor is head and shoulders about the other three guys. If he was 2-3" taller, he would be a slam dunk.

I'd call the West Texas A&M guy #2, LA Monroe Guy #3 and the Cincy guy a distant 4th.

Read the Insider stuff and it was very complimentary of Shaw. Said he looked great. Only knowck it that he does not have overwhelming arm strength. Saying he could go as high as the 4th round now.

I think I found the problem. It's the American team practice.... Wah wah wahhhhhh

Re: Day One Practice for National Team NFLPA

Connor and Miami TE Asante Cleveland hooked up several times for some nice plays.

Kenneth Acker from SMU also had a good day at DB. Jimmy Legree is also playing DB for the nationals.

I wouldn't stress it. It was pretty boring really. Just watch Sat. that's what matters.

I bet playing in the SEC and facing the media scrutiny you do as a player at this level really helps when it comes to those interviews
