Discussion: 2015 Recruiting Impressions

Well with such a good start to our 2015 class and the end of our scholarship restrictions for this new year, what do yall think? Overall numbers? Is this the year we get most of everyone we want? Does our staff make any changes to their recruiting strategies? I look forward to finding out and hopefully being very impressed. Go Gamecocks!:thumbsup::kill:

I think we'll take 28, count 3 back with EE, and therefore net out 25. I also think the quality of our 2015 class will be in line with our 2014 class.

I think we push heavy for at least one Juco OT, 4-5 total OL. RB we probably land two.

I'm going to predict that it'll be our best class ever.

I also predict Spurrier will address the "how much longer will I coach" question in order to remove that bit of ammunition from our foes.

Yea OT and RB are by far the top 2 priorities.

We may be forced to go JUCO for an OT, considering we didn't get one in this 2014 class and our depth for 2015 will be very thin, razor thin if Shell leaves early.

I'm sure that one will be a bumpy ride with a loooong thread.

Hopefully we get some sort of dynamite kicker/punter.

Ideally we'll get some stud RB, and probably another athlete-type running back that could be put in somewhere else or play less than a feature role.

OT is an area of concern. It's also probably a matter as to how this class shapes up. I can see getting a stud in the secondary if we have some issues there, since they'd be able to immediately challenge for playing time.

Also interested to see if we land a big-time QB target, i.e. Mangus' & Spurrier's first choice for example.

I'm thinking a pretty balanced class with emphasis on 2 RBs and 5 OL..and probably take 4 tackles and a guard, with 1 being a JUCO.
