The ACC wants a scheduling agreement with the SEC

How important is Strength of Schedule expected to be for the playoffs? The ACC knows.

They claim the SEC is overrated and boring. Yet they come crying for more games to strengthen their own schedule.

Mike Slive would be wise to not tie the future of SEC football to the future of ACC football. We all know the ACC is quickly becoming the new Big East.

Won't affect us or Clemson.

Doesn't sound like the acc will get what they want.

Re: The ACC wants a scheduling agreement with the SEC

There are already 4 ACC/SEC matchups

SC/Clemson
UGA/GT
FSU/UF
UK/Louisville

So what would the others be?

I can't see any other intriguing matchups other than maybe Vandy/Wake. Alabama/Boston College? LSU/Syracuse??? Miami might make an intriguing matchup for someone but I just don't get how this would be good for the SEC at all.

Outside of the annual rivalry, CU has scheduled more SEC opponents than any other ACC team lately.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the national championship everyone wanted: Alabama vs FSU. Or even a Auburn vs FSU rematch.

I could see them bringing back Wake/Vanderbilt (I think the series was cancelled from 2014 onward. Tennessee/Virginia Tech is another one (they are playing at Bristol in a couple of years, I could see them renewing it). I can't think of any more, seems like its only SEC east vs. ACC that makes sense.

When your enemy is drowning, do not throw him a rope.

Say, "hell no" and step on his head.

FSU added some heavyweights on their 2014 schedule (OK ST and ND). If FL rebounds, CU, Louisville (and possibly Miami) remain in the top 25; their schedule will be tough enough to pass muster (if they win them all).

I would like to see USC vs. UNC on a yearly basis

ND was to come onto the schedule due to the move but nonmove by ND to ACC for football.

UNC should get the pleasure of having us kick the crap out of it once or twice a decade.

Sure, $100,000,000 US cash up front and we'll sign.
